and installing the BI Publisher Desktop plug-in as an
essential requirement of the hands-on activities in the course.

A Note to Business Object Users
To use BI Publisher, the 64-bit platform and Java 7 must
be installed, which causes issues with Business Objects. A
large portion of the Java and bit-wise dependency is
placed on the OS and the Office components. The JRE package
that is to be installed has to conform with the OS and MS
office installation. Thus, at this time, Taleo cannot support both
platforms simultaneously unless end users install and
uninstall Java each time they switch from application to
application.
